Shah Kawasaki Architects is pleased to announce the arrival of Charlene S. Arias. Charlene joins SKA’s talented team as an Associate. She comes to us from Field Paoli Architects where she managed sizable and complex retail projects including the Milpitas Great Mall Redevelopment.
Working in the field of architecture since 2007, Charlene has achieved a diverse portfolio that comprises project management experience, design development, space planning and production of construction documents. Asked why she chose to team up with SKA, Charlene said she was looking to join a small firm. “I was drawn to the company and its diverse portfolio of civic projects that benefit the East Bay community in so many ways. I also love the culture at SKA. The leadership promotes continued learning and professional growth. Everyone has been welcoming and helpful.”
SKA Principal Philip Luo is excited about the impact she’s had on the firm and lauds Charlene’s organizational skills, saying, “She’s an enthusiastic problem solver. In a short amount of time she has implemented improvements in our Revit standards and email filing system.”
Charlene will continue to grow her portfolio and hone her skills as an architect as she leads projects for Shah Kawasaki. Currently, she is immersed in her work on a series of East Bay Goodwill Tenant Improvement projects that include interior and exterior upgrades, ADA compliance renovations and creating spaces for the nonprofit organization that will allow them to provide technical skills training to those in need of employment.
