The San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority’s new maintenance facility provides a consolidated base for WETA to maintain the Bay ferry fleet operating on its Alameda, Oakland, and South San Francisco routes. This three-story, 24,000-square-foot, metal-panel-clad building provides shop space for light repairs on the ground floor and WETA offices on the third floor. A multi-purpose conference room, typically used for public meetings, can be quickly converted to serve as WETA’s emergency operations center.
