The Municipal Services Center is a 15,000 sf design-build administration building located in the Brentwood Corporation Yard. Shah Kawasaki Architects provided conceptual design and bridging documents for the building, courtyard, and surrounding site improvements. The building  accommodates staff from Street Maintenance, Fleet and Facilities Maintenance, Water Operations, Parks & Recreation Maintenance Division, and Administration. Innovative features in the design enhances integration of building with the outdoors through the use of tubular skylights to bring in natural light, and sliding glass walls that connect interior spaces to the courtyard both physically and visually.

Each of the five maintenance divisions are organized around Work Areas, suites with offices for managers and desks for field staff. Amenities include a coffee bar, lateral files, layout tables for plans, shared printers, lots of wall space for maps, and an open area for team meetings.

Flexibility is envisioned in the creation of the Break Room / Multipurpose Room. Adjacent to the kitchen with doors opening out to the courtyard garden, this room will mostly be used for meals and social events. Equipped with presentation monitors, this room can be transformed into a training room.
