Philip Luo
Principal, AIA, LEED AP
Philip enjoys all aspects of architecture, from helping clients develop appropriate solutions and designs to leading teams of diverse individuals toward achieving a common vision. A strong advocate for the use of energy and daylight modeling in the design process, Philip’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond LEED Accreditation to provide creative and cost-effective options for his clients.
After receiving both his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Philip began his career at Studios Architecture in 1990. Philip’s notable experience includes serving as Project Architect on the Sam Fox School of Design (a museum and art school complex in St. Louis) and CREATE: R&D Magazine’s Lab of the Year in 2013. Philip also served as the Project Manager for 3Com Corporation’s Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Singapore.
On weekends, Philip can be found bike riding with his wife and two sons through Bay Farm Island or kayaking at Crown Beach in Alameda.
