Katie Woessner-Rozkuszka

Katie grew up in Naperville, a suburb of Chicago, and her Midwestern roots have shaped her appreciation for community and connection. After high school, She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture. During college, she participated in two semester-long study abroad programs—one exploring France, England, and Italy, and another Nordic trek—which deepened her passion for architecture and fostered her love for walkable, vibrant cities.

After graduating, she worked at a small firm in New York City before moving to Denver, Colorado, where she lived for several years. Craving a change from mountains to coastline, Katie seized the chance to move to San Francisco and join Shah Kawasaki Architects.

Outside of work, you can usually find Katie immersed in creative projects—most often cross-stitching—or exploring the city’s neighborhoods and architectural gems.
